In flight entertainment. Am sure some of you have enjoyed many times that program on the KQ or SA flights : Just for Laughs. Where the "average citizen" in the street gets surprised with jokes (practical or not so practical) and the fun is recorded by a hidden camera. Breaking news : now they have those for road traffic entertainment in Nairobi ! So you can enjoy them from the car. I enjoyed one this morning. Somewhere in Westlands. A matatu driver, stopped by cops, decided to run for dear life. His tout decided to do the same. And they ran fast. It looked like a tribute to the Kenyan athlete that passed away in a tragic accident yesterday. They ran that fast. The passengers now found themselves immobilized and had to leave the vehicle that was vacated in the middle of the road. One of the cops had to actually get behind the wheel and move it. Thats how fast the cabin crew ran. They forgot the keys...it was hilarious ! So you see. Sometimes those matatu's drive us crazy ( a lot of sometime...all the time) but sometimes they make us laugh...And for me, my day started with a smile.
